Roll Handler Goes Straight to the Core of the Problem

Converter Accessory Corporation (CAC) is offering Rol-handlR™ Model PH 1, a cost effective, exceptionally easy to operate solution for handling rolls up to 1000 lbs in a wide range of widths and diameters. Model PH 1, an entirely self-contained, floor-based moveable system that complements I-beam-based Rol-handlR™ models for rolls to 2000 lbs. Model PH 1 is available in mechanical or battery powered electrical configurations.

Rol-handlR™ Model PH 1 is an entirely self-contained unit that does not require overhead equipment, fork truck or any other additional handling equipment. It is a rugged, compact system able to lift and turn rolls from horizontal to vertical, vertical to horizontal and transport and place them on pallets, cantilevered unwind shafts or other production, shipping or storage areas.

The Rol-handlR™ Model PH1 mechanical version features simple hand operated hoists while the electrically powered system features an ergonomically designed remote pendant controls. Both versions are safe to operate, featuring locking casters, two point, flexible suspension and mechanical core locking.

Jeff Damour, CAC engineering manager, says the system’s true horizontal and vertical roll turning capabilities reduce the possibility of roll edge damage during handling. CAC’s unique center lift probe, standard with Rol-handlR™ systems, also contributes to protecting roll edge integrity.

Roll Handling System Reduces Back Injuries, Operator Fatigue and Roll Edge Damage

Converter Accessory Corporation, Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, is introducing a new two station Rotating Roll Handling device, the Rol-handlR™, for rolls that weigh up to 2000 lbs. The dual lift stations, with two pivot points allow a roll to be readily maneuvered into true vertical and true horizontal positions. True vertical and true horizontal help eliminate damage to roll edges, allowing rolls to be securely and safely placed in the desired positions.

The CAC system consists of a unique ”Lldquo; shaped pivot arm and a tandem, 360° North to South rotating hoist assembly that mounts to, and tracks along, any standard ”I“ beam. Additional features include a probe engineered with weight-activated teeth to remain safely engaged even during power outages and an exceptionally ergonomic, user-friendly one-handed control unit.

A-Frame Option Expands Application of User-Friendly Roll Handling System

Converter Accessory Corporation (CAC) is introducing a new, moveable ”A“ Frame option added to the successful ”I“ Beam mountable, two station Rotating Rol-handlR™, for rolls that weigh up to 2000 lbs.

In the basic Rol-handlR™ system, the dual lift stations, with two pivot points, allow a roll to be readily maneuvered into true vertical and true horizontal positions. True vertical and true horizontal help eliminate damage to roll edges, allowing rolls to be securely and safely placed in the desired positions.

The CAC system consists of a unique ”L“ shaped pivot arm and a tandem, 360 ° North to South rotating hoist assembly that mounts to, and tracks along, any standard ”I“ beam, may be used with a jib crane and the CAC engineered moveable ”A“ Frame.

Rol-handlR™ grips the roll from the core, eliminating edge damage, with a super-safe mechanically operated probe with weight-activated teeth that can not be disengaged while bearing weight. All operations are controlled through an exceptionally user-friendly one-hand operated control unit.

Roll Handling System for Fork Trucks is easily attached and separated

Converter Accessory Corporation (CAC) is introducing Fork Truck Rol-HandlR™, a unique roll handling system that can be readily fitted to any conventional fork truck and removed and stored when the fork truck is needed for other jobs.

Fork Truck Rol-HandlR makes it easy to lift and transport rolls up to 1000 lbs, in a variety of widths and diameters, without damaging edges and cores. It features a two point flexible suspension of the roll center allowing true horizontal and vertical roll positioning and achieves easy alignment with the roll core. The system is able to safely lift and turn rolls from horizontal to vertical and vertical to horizontal. Features include a powerful gripping probe engineered with weight-activated teeth that remain safely engaged even during power outages.

A complete system includes a 12V battery power pack with built in charger allowing simple conversion of a fork truck to a roll handling vehicle. Also included is an efficient hoist with a heavy duty load break and 3 stage planetary gear train designed for load lifting and ideally suited for lifting and turning rolls. Standard production models are available in 3 inch and 6 inch I.D. core sizes.
