Test Trim Samples to Ensure System Performance

As a pneumatic trim removal systems manufacturer (FOX TrimAway) we have test equipment set up to run samples our customers provide. We find it extremely helpful in the proposal stage of the project to receive and test "worst case" samples of trim. Worst case samples are the thickest, heaviest, stiffest, widest trim the system will encounter.

We have many systems to choose from to suit specific customer requirements and testing samples will often times weigh heavily in the decision of what system best fits an application from a practical real world view.

In addition to samples, we also consider many other factors, including:

  1. Web width (minimum to maximum)
  2. Machine speed (minimum to maximum)
  3. What types of materials will you run thru the system?
  4. Trim width range (minimum to maximum)
  5. How many trims do you want to convey?
  6. Are the trims continuous or pieces?
  7. What is your conveying distance?
  8. Are there any adhesives involved?

This information, combined with test results will ensure proper system specification and installation. Whenever you consider a trim removal system supplier, make sure they receive samples and test those samples in order to provide you with the best possible equipment. Your process should NEVER be hampered or slowed down due to poor pneumatic trim removal system design or performance, whether that system is existing or newly proposed.
